Dusty Beeswax is a Good Thing

Have you noticed after a while that your beeswax candle gets a little “dusty” looking? Almost as if there is a chalky film appearing? Well, this is called “Bloom” and it means you purchased a beeswax candle that is 100%, pure beeswax.

Beeswax candles that have been blended with parrafin, soy or palm oil will most likely not develop a bloom.

It is a naturally occurring process of pure, straight-from-nature beeswax and in no way affects the candle or its performance. It occurs more typically with temperature fluctuations, so you will notice it more in the winter months.

If you like your candles shiny and polished, all you need to do it gently wipe a soft cloth over them and it will easily come off. But… it will come back. So, have fun polishing your candles!
